Apeldoorn police make fifth arrest in major drug investigation

Police in Apeldoorn have made a fifth arrest as part of an ongoing large-scale investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering. The most recent arrest involves a suspect suspected of money laundering.

The investigation, which began earlier this year, has already seen four previous arrests. In May, three individuals were detained, including a primary suspect residing at Boomblauwtje, who remains in custody. Two other residents of Robert Kochstraat were also previously detained.

Authorities and the Public Prosecution Service are investigating both the illegal drug trade and the subsequent laundering of criminal proceeds to hide their illicit origins. Law enforcement stated that these arrests are intended to signal that 'crime can and must never pay'.
