Apex Legends art director discusses Street Fighter 6 collaboration
Apex Legends art director Alisa Rastorgueva has revealed that the upcoming collaboration with Street Fighter 6 required significant changes to character models. To match the muscular proportions of Capcom’s fighting game franchise, developers pushed the limits of the game’s visual style, resulting in character models with more muscle definition and thicker proportions than previously seen in the game.
Scheduled for release on September 22, the collaboration will include special character skins, weapon skins, a new point of interest, and a Wildcard Takeover. Several Legends will be transformed into Street Fighter characters, including Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, Mirage as Luke, Caustic as Blanka, Wattson as Cammy, Gibraltar as Akuma, Bangalore as Elena, and Pathfinder as Dhalsim.
