Apex Legends: Cipher Season launches November 3

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced that Season 31 of Apex Legends, titled “Cipher,” will launch on November 3. The update introduces significant gameplay changes, most notably a complete overhaul for the Legend Crypto. His Surveillance Drone will now operate on a battery system rather than a traditional cooldown, allowing for more frequent redeployment, and will feature a new “Sentry Mode” to automatically tag enemies for the squad.

Other Legend updates include buffs for Revenant, who will receive a shorter Ultimate cooldown and faster Tactical ability, and Lifeline, who will benefit from reduced D.O.C. cooldowns and the ability to self-heal while gliding. New combat elements include the “Akimbo Wingman,” allowing players to dual-wield revolvers, and “Strongholds,” high-risk/high-reward locations that provide top-tier loot but trigger alarms upon entry.

Additionally, a new “Legend Ban” system will be implemented in Ranked matches for Diamond-tier lobbies and above. This system uses a weighted random selection based on player votes to determine which Legends are unavailable during a match, aiming to shift the competitive environment.
