Apex Legends launches Street Fighter 6 collaboration event

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have launched a collaboration event between Apex Legends and Street Fighter 6 across all supported platforms. The update introduces melee combat modes, aesthetic changes to the Olympus map, and third-person camera perspective transformations.

During the Wildcard mode, players can utilize martial equipment kits inspired by classic characters: the Ryu kit for speed and vertical strikes, the Chun-Li kit for wall running and area attacks, the Akuma kit for ranged fire attacks, and the Dhalsim kit for low-gravity aerial maneuvers. Collecting tokens enables a fight mode that shifts the camera angle and unlocks enhanced tactical abilities. The event also features themed cosmetics, including a mythical Hadoken melee combat object.

In Japan, Apex Legends maintained its top position on the Steam sales rankings following the start of this event on September 23. Other notable titles appearing in the rankings include Silent Hill: Townfall and Graveyard Keeper 2.
