Apex Legends to End Support on Original Nintendo Switch on Aug 4 2026

Respawn Entertainment announced that the battle‑royale shooter Apex Legends will cease online support for the original Nintendo Switch on 4 August 2026, coinciding with the launch of Season 30. Season 29 will be the final update for that hardware.

After that date the game’s servers on the original Switch will be shut down, premium‑currency purchases will no longer be possible, and players can transfer any remaining EA account balances—including Apex Coins and cosmetic items—to the newer Nintendo Switch 2, which will continue to receive regular updates. The change does not affect the Switch 2 or other platforms.
