Apex Partners and SHC Group face judicial restructuring developments in Brazil

In Brazil, two major corporate restructuring processes are unfolding. An expert report from Laspro Consultores has recommended maintaining judicial protection for the assets and contracts of Apex Partners. This recommendation aims to preserve the management of real estate investment funds, such as Apex Malls, which were operated through Carbyne. The protection also covers requests regarding bank collections on the company's accounts. The expert suggested that the companies involved provide detailed clarifications and documents before any final decisions are made regarding the sale of managers or the release of bank debts.

Separately, the SHC Group, owned by businessman Sergio Habib and responsible for operating JAC Motors in Brazil, is negotiating with creditors regarding a potential new judicial recovery filing. Although the group concluded a previous recovery process in May 2025, it is currently discussing debt renegotiations to keep certain liabilities out of a new court request. One major bank reportedly has an exposure exceeding R$ 100 million. Challenges in the negotiations include difficulties in locating vehicles that were offered as collateral for credit operations.
