Aphrodite Nestora meets Minister Chrysochoidis in Thessaloniki

Lawyer and New Democracy politician Aphrodite Nestora met with Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis in Thessaloniki. The meeting took place approximately three months after an arson attack on Nestora’s home on July 1, an incident in which her mother, Vagia, lost her life and Nestora herself was injured.

Nestora expressed gratitude to the Minister for his support and praised the Hellenic Police for their efficiency, noting that perpetrators were identified and brought to justice within 11 days. Discussions also covered ongoing investigations into other attacks that occurred on the same day.

The meeting addressed policing strategies across Thessaloniki neighborhoods. Minister Chrysochoidis highlighted the establishment of the new Social Policing Directorate, which includes specialized units to combat domestic violence, juvenile violence, and other modern forms of violence.
