APIA announces grape harvest insurance subsidy deadline
The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has announced the application period for grape harvest insurance subsidies under the 2023–2027 Strategic Plan. The deadline for submitting payment requests for the ISV-03 intervention is October 15, 2026.
Financial support is structured based on the cause of loss: the agency covers 80% of insurance premium costs for losses resulting from unfavorable climatic phenomena classified as natural disasters, and 50% for losses caused by other climatic events, animals, diseases, or pests.
To be eligible, viticultural producers must manage a minimum of 0.1 hectares of authorized or recommended grapevine varieties. The area must be registered in the Viticultural Plantations Register (RPV) and declared to APIA. Additionally, producers must hold a valid insurance policy that includes specific plot identification data, such as CNPV codes and surface area. Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the APIA Public Portal.
