Apiiro joins Chainguard's Athena coalition, offers free AutoFix to open‑source maintainers

Apiiro has become a member of the Athena coalition, a Chainguard‑led initiative that brings together companies such as J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Cisco, Cloudflare, Akamai and Qualys to protect open‑source software from AI‑driven attacks. As part of the collaboration the two firms are integrating their platforms, and Apiiro is making its AI‑powered AutoFix tool available at no cost to open‑source maintainers.

The coalition has already processed more than 40,000 AI‑discovered vulnerabilities, coordinating ecosystem‑wide responses. Apiiro’s Guardian Agent contributes new findings to the community and uses AutoFix to generate contextual code fixes, validate them through automated testing and create review‑ready pull requests. “The challenge is fixing vulnerabilities quickly without disrupting business‑critical applications,” said Idan Plotnik, Apiiro’s co‑founder and CEO. The integration is available immediately for joint Apiiro and Chainguard customers, while open‑source maintainers can request free access to AutoFix.
