APİKAM to host Ottoman Turkish seminars in İzmir
The Ahmet Piriştina City Archive and Museum (APİKAM), part of the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, is launching basic-level Ottoman Turkish seminars. The program is scheduled to run from October 6 to December 24.
The 12-week course will provide 48 hours of training, with sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday from 16:00 to 18:00. The curriculum aims to teach the fundamental characteristics of Ottoman Turkish, enabling participants to read printed texts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Applications for these free seminars must be submitted in person to APİKAM between September 28 and October 2. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive an official certificate of participation from the museum.
