APIMPA presents institutional action plan to Panamanian ministries

The Panamanian Mining Industry Suppliers Association (APIMPA) has presented an institutional action plan to the ministries of Commerce and Industries, Economy and Finance, and Environment. The plan focuses on strengthening the national supply chain to meet high-level standards.

APIMPA aims to empower micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those located near mining projects, through training and inclusion to ensure they become competitive suppliers. Miguel Rodríguez, president of APIMPA, stated that the goal is to translate mining growth into tangible local prosperity, quality formal employment, and community well-being while ensuring strict adherence to environmental, social, and governance practices.
