Soledad Mayor initiates drainage rehabilitation in Hogares Ferrocarrileros
The Mayor of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz, has launched a project to replace the sanitary drainage line on Valle de Tangamanga Street in the Hogares Ferrocarrileros Segunda Sección neighborhood.
With an investment of approximately 1.815 million pesos, the municipal government is intervening to resolve a long-standing public health issue that residents reported had persisted for 35 years. The project aims to address a collapsed sanitary network that previously caused street flooding and the backflow of wastewater into homes.
The works include the replacement of over 200 linear meters of sewage pipes, demolition and removal of damaged pavement, excavations, and the installation of new manholes and hydraulic concrete paving. The intervention is expected to directly benefit approximately 4,600 residents by preventing property damage and health risks caused by previous inaction from the water utility provider, INTERAPAS.
