APM Terminals Apapa conducts large‑scale clean‑up of Lagos Port corridors
APM Terminals Apapa, Nigeria’s largest container terminal, carried out a major clean‑up across key corridors of the Lagos Port Complex as part of its 2026 Go Green Week campaign. The initiative, aimed at supporting the company’s net‑zero by 2040 target, saw employees clear waste—including plastics, nylon packaging, wooden planks, bottles and stones—from the Finger Jetty through the common‑user road to Eko Support Services, the Nigerian Ports Authority roundabout, Adekunle Road and the main gate of the terminal. Staff from the Nigerian Ports Authority also participated, highlighting collaboration among port stakeholders. Managing Director Kamal Alhraishat described the event as a platform to reinforce responsible operations, environmental stewardship and community action, linking healthier ecosystems to more resilient business performance.
