APM Terminals Nigeria gives 52 new scholarships

West Africa Container Terminal (WACT), part of APM Terminals Nigeria, expanded its scholarship programme by awarding 52 new scholarships—47 to students from host communities and five to children of employees. The ceremony, the fifth since the scheme’s launch in 2021, brought the total number of beneficiaries to 193.

WACT Managing Director Courage Obadagbonyi emphasized the initiative as an investment in future leaders for Rivers State and Nigeria, while Country CEO Frederik Klinke highlighted its role in the company’s broader social‑sustainability strategy. The programme also includes an internship track and the EngineerHER project for female graduates.
