Apni Party expands presence in Srinagar as Akhoon leads new members

The Apni Party has undergone a significant expansion in Srinagar as senior political leader Syed Mohammad Akhoon led a large group of social and political activists into the party.

The new members, including a National Conference block president and various activists from the Hazratbal and Zadibal constituencies, joined at a function held at the party's Srinagar headquarters. Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and other senior leaders welcomed the group, promising opportunities for involvement in public service and political activities.

Akhoon, who previously spent decades with the National Conference, stated his decision to join was driven by a perceived lack of space for leaders and workers to express themselves freely within traditional political parties. He characterized the Apni Party as a platform that encourages individual expression and does not belong to a specific dynasty.
