Apollo Global Management announced the opening of a new strategic hub in Austin, Texas, dedicated to emerging technologies, innovation and talent acquisition. The facility will be led by Eric Needleman and Mike Downing and is intended to incubate new businesses across the firm’s asset‑management and retirement‑solutions platforms while advancing its technology and operational capabilities.

CEO Marc Rowan said the Austin location allows the firm to “build the next generation of Apollo and Athene” by tapping the region’s engineering talent and fast‑moving tech ecosystem. Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Austin Mayor Kirk Watson praised the move, noting Texas’s growing financial‑services workforce and the city’s appeal to young professionals.
