Apollo Hospitals launches emergency medicine programme in India
Apollo Hospitals has introduced a two-year Emergency Medicine Core Programme designed to enhance clinical training and emergency medicine education in India. The initiative is a partnership involving Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) from the United Kingdom.
Based on the RCEM curriculum and Acute Care Common Stem principles, the programme focuses on developing competencies for managing acutely ill and injured patients. Training modules cover emergency medicine, acute medicine, intensive care medicine, and anaesthetics. The curriculum aims to improve skills in recognizing clinical deterioration, prioritizing critically ill patients, and coordinating care across emergency and acute-care settings.
