Apollo Hospitals launches seven-day healthcare access initiative

Apollo Hospitals has launched a new initiative titled ‘Always Open. Always Here.’, which extends routine and planned healthcare services to all seven days of the week, including Sundays. While the hospital group’s emergency, critical care, and inpatient services have historically operated 24/7, this program expands Sunday access to outpatient consultations, diagnostics, preventive health checks, follow-up appointments, and scheduled procedures.

The move aims to address barriers to timely care, such as busy work schedules and family commitments, which often cause patients to postpone medical needs. The initiative follows findings from the Apollo ‘Health of the Nation 2026 Report,’ which noted a rising burden of lifestyle diseases—including obesity, hypertension, and diabetes—among the Indian population. The report highlighted a ‘silent epidemic’ of undiagnosed chronic conditions, noting that approximately 26% of screened individuals were hypertensive and 23% were diabetic despite being asymptomatic.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, stated that the initiative is a continuation of the organization’s commitment to protecting health and preventing disease rather than just treating illness.
