Apollonia Dental Clinic receives specialist certification for AI-driven remote orthodontics

Apollonia Dental Clinic, located in Kochi, Japan, has been awarded the ‘2026 Specialist Level’ certification by Dental Monitoring Inc. This recognition is based on the clinic's high frequency and volume of clinical use of the AI-driven remote observation system for clear aligner orthodontics.

The clinic currently manages over 100 patients monthly who use the system to transmit oral data from home via smartphones and specialized scanning tools. This technology allows for precise checks of aligner fit, optimization of tray replacement timing through AI and dentist oversight, and a reduction in necessary in-person clinic visits.

Clinic Director Kenichiro Hino noted that the system helps prevent treatment setbacks by allowing dentists to monitor daily wear habits remotely, ensuring that minor deviations from the treatment plan are caught early.
