Apollosa and Castel San Giorgio keep local fees low for families

The municipal council of Apollosa approved its 2026‑2029 Economic‑Financial Plan, cutting the total cost of the waste‑service fee (TARI) from about €318,000 to €305,000. The average reduction is 2.5 % for domestic users and 4 % for non‑domestic users. Mayor Danilo Parente said the cut rewards residents who separate waste correctly and eases the financial burden on households and businesses.

In Castel San Giorgio, Mayor Paola Lanzara confirmed that for the 2026/27 school year the town will keep school‑meal and transport fees unchanged despite rising service costs. Free meals will continue for families with an ISEE up to €4,000, while co‑payment per meal ranges from €1.20 to €4.50. Transport fees remain €40 per month, with reductions based on income and family size. The mayor emphasized the decision supports the right to education and protects families from additional expenses.
