Apolonia film premieres at NNW Film Festival in Gdynia

The feature film debut ‘Apolonia’, directed by Arkadiusz Gołębiewski, held its premiere during the 18th NNW Film Festival in Gdynia. The screening was attended by the director and lead actors, including Halina Łabonarska, Maja Barełkowska, and Henryk Talar.

Gołębiewski described the film as a story rooted in family secrets and personal history, noting that he had to set aside his own emotions to write the script effectively. Co-writer Paweł Narożnik commented on the difficulty of depicting the Polish independence underground, noting the shifting historical discourse regarding these figures.
