Chile launches various community and environmental funding programs

Various community and environmental funding initiatives have been launched across Chile. The Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) has opened applications for the 12th edition of the Urban Contribution Award (PAU) 2026. This program recognizes public and private projects that improve urban quality of life and heritage, with the launch held at the Destino Valparaíso cultural center.

Additionally, the Ministry of the Environment has opened applications for the 2027 Environmental Protection Fund (FPA). Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the fund offers up to $6 million per project to citizens, indigenous peoples, and educational institutions for initiatives involving biodiversity, climate change, and renewable energy. Applications remain open until October 14.

Other regional programs include the Compromiso Joven 2026 fund, which provides up to $5 million for youth-led projects in the Maule region, and the Anglo American Emerge Program, which is celebrating 20 years by recognizing local entrepreneurs and small businesses in specific communes within the Metropolitan and Valparaíso regions. In the Valparaíso region, Esval is also concluding its tenth edition of the ‘Contigo en Cada Gota’ fund, offering $100 million for sustainable community infrastructure and water management projects.
