App State defeats Coastal Carolina 35-32

App State defeated Coastal Carolina 35-32 at Brooks Stadium on Friday night. Despite a 10-point halftime lead by the Chanticleers, the Mountaineers scored 21 unanswered points to take control of the game.

Coastal Carolina quarterback Deuce Bailey recorded 298 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Robby Washington added 118 receiving yards. Coastal managed to narrow the deficit to three points late in the fourth quarter following a touchdown run by Jaden Allen-Hendrix and a two-point conversion by Dominic Lee-Knicely. However, App State secured the victory by running out the clock on their final possession.

App State's offense was led by Jaquari Lewis, who rushed for four touchdowns and 85 yards, and Henry Hasselbeck, who contributed 125 rushing yards and a passing touchdown.
