APPACDM de Elvas strengthens partnership with Alto Alentejo Health Unit

The Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of the Mentally Disabled (APPACDM) in Elvas has strengthened its partnership with the Alto Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULS). Through the Inclusion Capacity and Training Center (CACI), the partnership involves the production of bags for hospital use and various institutional initiatives.

This collaboration utilizes non-woven fabric (TNT) repurposed from hospital equipment that has not entered operating rooms. These materials are provided by the hospital to the institution, where users transform them into useful items, such as bags for the IV National Meeting of Care Integration and small pouches for medication. The project is social in nature and involves no financial component, relying on donated materials like thread and wool to complete the products.
