Appignano worker injured in four-meter fall during workplace accident
A 49-year-old worker was seriously injured following a fall at a company in Appignano, Italy. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM at the Paoloni Factory Store on via Enrico Fermi while the individual was performing maintenance on a shutter.
According to reports, the worker was positioned in a basket lifted by a forklift to reach the upper part of the shutter when he fell approximately four meters to the ground. Emergency medical services provided immediate care at the scene before transporting him to the Torrette hospital in Ancona. While his condition is reported as life-threatening, he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
Local authorities, including the Carabinieri and the Service for the Prevention and Safety in the Working Environment (SPSAL), have launched an investigation to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and verify workplace safety compliance.
