Apple iPhone Duo launches with high demand and delivery delays

Apple's first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, is scheduled for official retail release on October 23, 2026, following the start of pre-orders on October 16. The device features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, powered by an A20 Pro chip.

High demand has led to significant stock shortages. In Canada, initial stock sold out immediately, with some delivery estimates pushed to February 2027. In the United States, buyers face delivery dates as late as January 25, 2027. To manage demand, Apple has implemented purchase limits of two units per customer in several markets, including Japan and South Korea, where the device is restricted to in-store pickup reservations.

The iPhone Duo is an eSIM-only device globally. Pricing for the base 256GB model starts at $1,999 in the United States. In Malaysia, the 256GB version is priced at RM9,499. Early unboxing videos have revealed color variants including ‘Night Sky’ (a matte dark-gray 1TB configuration) and ‘Star White’.
