Apple adds Call Context to iOS 27 for instant customer‑service info
Apple’s iOS 27 update introduces Call Context, a feature that automatically shows relevant information such as confirmation codes, reservation numbers or other details on the Phone app screen when the user calls a business. The data is pulled from the Mail app on the device, processed locally, and no call or personal data is sent to Apple’s servers or any third party. Call Context runs on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and newer models, and is also available on compatible iPad, Mac and Apple Watch devices. At launch the feature supports English only.
In the same iOS 27 release, FaceTime gains a Dual Capture mode that lets the front‑ and rear‑camera feed be shown simultaneously during a video call. Dual Capture works on iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone Air and later models, while any iOS 27 device can receive the combined video stream.
