Apple agrees to $250 million settlement over Siri AI delays

Apple has reached a $250 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit regarding delays in the rollout of Siri and Apple Intelligence features. A federal court in the Northern District of California has granted preliminary approval for the agreement.

Eligible consumers include those in the United States who purchased specific iPhone models between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, for personal use. The qualifying devices include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 16 lineup (including 16, 16e, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max).

Initial estimates suggest a payout of at least $25 per eligible device, though this amount could increase to a maximum of $95 per device depending on the total number of valid claims submitted. Verita Global has been appointed to manage the claims process. A final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027, and payouts will only begin several months after that date. Currently, no action is required from consumers as the official settlement website and claim forms have not yet been launched.
