Apple TV and Legendary discuss Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 3

Apple TV and Legendary Television are in discussions regarding a potential third season of the Monsterverse series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. While an official renewal has not been confirmed, reports indicate that a third installment would likely undergo a significant creative overhaul.

If the series moves forward, producers are reportedly looking for a new showrunner and a new writing team to steer the show in a different direction. This potential soft reboot would also introduce new Titans from the Legendary Monsterverse into the narrative. The future of the existing human cast remains unconfirmed.

Separately, an untitled spinoff series centered on a younger version of Colonel Lee Shaw, played by Wyatt Russell, is still in development. That project, which is set in 1984, is expected to be led by showrunner Joby Harold and will follow Shaw on a mission to prevent the Soviet Union from unleashing a devastating Titan.
