Apple and Meta release new media and video creation tools

Apple's macOS offers integrated video conversion capabilities directly within the Finder file manager. Users can encode video files into various resolutions, including 480p, 720p, 1080p, and up to 2160p (4K), without requiring third-party software. The tool also supports audio extraction, allowing users to isolate the sound track from a video clip.

Meta is updating its video application, Edits, with new features for content creators. A new AI-driven function for users in the US allows for the transformation of still photos into short video clips via text-based movement descriptions. The update also introduces improved project management through folder organization, the ability to save text and caption styles, and a music search system based on moods or interests rather than just genres.
