Apple and Nvidia donate $25 million each for White House ballroom

Leaked internal documents obtained by The Washington Post reveal that technology giants Apple and Nvidia each donated $25 million toward the construction of a new ballroom at the White House for President Donald Trump.

These contributions place Apple and Nvidia at the top of the donor list, alongside Dish Network co-founder Charles Ergen and the Adelson family. Other significant contributors include Google, which provided $22 million stemming from a 2025 YouTube settlement. While anonymous donors contributed $77 million, President Trump had previously claimed the project was funded entirely by himself and his associates.

The documents highlight discrepancies between official White House records and actual funding sources. While the White House acknowledged 37 donors in October 2025—including Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Google, and Apple—it did not specify amounts and omitted Nvidia entirely. Furthermore, an analysis suggests a potential conflict of interest, noting that approximately 50 percent of the funds originated from executives or companies holding active federal contracts.
