Apple and The King's Trust launch Creative Labs for UK youth
Apple and The King's Trust have launched the Apple x King's Trust Creative Labs, a new educational program in the United Kingdom designed to prepare young people for careers in the creative industries. The initiative was celebrated at the Apple Music Hall in London, where King Charles III and Apple CEO Tim Cook met with the first cohort of participants.
The program provides up to 20 young adults, aged 18 to 30, with access to Apple technology, specialized workshops, and mentorship from industry experts. Initial sessions have focused on music industry and creative skills, coinciding with the opening of the Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station. The partnership also includes the development of AI literacy resources for educators and students to support the integration of new technologies in classrooms.
This collaboration builds on Apple's ongoing support for The King's Trust, which has worked since 1976 to support youth through education and employment. Since 2019, Apple has contributed to the Trust's STEM and coding initiatives across the UK.
