Apple announces September 9 event to unveil new iPhone models

Apple has announced a special event scheduled for September 9 at its Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The event, themed ‘Surprise and shine’, is expected to feature several major hardware announcements.

Key anticipated products include the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which may utilize the new A20 Pro chip manufactured with a 2-nanometer process to improve speed and power efficiency. There are also reports regarding a potential foldable iPhone, featuring a display that measures approximately 5.5 inches when folded and 7.6 inches when unfolded.

This event marks a significant leadership transition, as it will be the first major presentation led by incoming CEO John Turnus following Tim Cook’s 15-year tenure. Other potential reveals include the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and updates to smart home devices such as the Home Hub, Apple TV 4K, and HomePod Mini. Additionally, Apple is expected to announce release schedules for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS ‘Golden Gate’.
