Apple ‘Antennagate’ press conference Q&A video surfaces online

A previously unreleased 47-minute video of the Q&A session following Apple’s 2010 ‘Antennagate’ emergency press conference has surfaced online. The footage captures Steve Jobs, then-COO Tim Cook, and Senior Vice President Bob Mansfield addressing media concerns regarding the iPhone 4.

The ‘Antennagate’ issue arose shortly after the iPhone 4 launch when users reported significant signal drops depending on how the device was held. During the original emergency event, Jobs offered users the choice of a free protective case to prevent signal interference or a full refund for the device.

While various accounts of the Q&A session have existed for years, the actual video had not been made public until its recent upload to YouTube. The footage includes the moment when Jobs, Cook, and Mansfield pulled caseless iPhones from their pockets to demonstrate the device's functionality.
