Apple celebrates Indie Games Week with No Man’s Sky and Sifu

Apple is hosting an Indie Games Week on the App Store, highlighting seven critically acclaimed independent titles available for download or pre-order on iPhone and iPad.

A major highlight of the event is the arrival of No Man’s Sky from Hello Games. The space exploration and survival game, which occupies less than 5 GB of storage, is optimized for mobile with redesigned touch controls and support for controllers, mice, keyboards, and TV casting. While the iOS version includes all updates from the last decade, it will initially lack multiplayer and colony features, similar to the Nintendo Switch version. Pre-orders are available now, with a full release scheduled for October 28.

Other featured titles include the martial arts beat-’em-up Sifu by Sloclap, which features custom touch controls and a redesigned camera system for mobile devices. Carson Oliver, Head of App Store Worldwide at Apple, stated that the initiative aims to honor independent teams that push the boundaries of creativity in gaming.
