Apple Creator Studio announces major AI and MotionVFX update

Apple is releasing a significant update to its Apple Creator Studio suite this November, introducing artificial intelligence tools and enhanced cross-app workflows. The update, which is free for existing subscribers, includes direct integration of MotionVFX into Final Cut Pro for Mac, providing users with access to thousands of templates, graphics, and transitions directly within the editor.

Key enhancements include a new Content Hub featuring Apple-curated stock video, photos, and backgrounds. Final Cut Pro users can now send images from the timeline to Pixelmator Pro for editing and automatically bring the results back into the project. Pixelmator Pro will also feature ‘Generate Fill,’ allowing users to create or replace image areas using text prompts.

Additional updates feature a beta intelligent assistant in Logic Pro and generative AI tools in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Final Cut Pro also expands its transcription support to 23 additional languages and introduces text-to-image generation capabilities, though Apple notes that human review is required for accuracy and licensing suitability.
