Apple iPhone 18 Pro series details revealed in supply‑chain leaks

Multiple leaks from Apple’s supply chain, including a data breach at Tata Electronics, have disclosed technical specifications for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the first foldable iPhone Ultra.

Battery capacity for the iPhone 18 Pro Max is reported to differ by model: the eSIM‑only version could hold up to 5,425 mAh, while the physical‑SIM variant may use a 5,235 mAh cell – both larger than the current flagship and larger than Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra.

A new “Dark Cherry” colour is slated to replace the previous “Cosmic Orange” on the iPhone 18 Pro, with the colour described as a deep cherry‑red shade. The Pro line is also expected to ship in only three finishes – Dark Cherry, Light Blue and Silver‑Gray.

Apple is planning a foldable iPhone Ultra, with production targets raised to around ten million units and a price projected near $2,500. The company also plans to increase overall iPhone orders for the second half of 2026 to roughly 220 million units.

The A20 Pro chip will debut in the 18 series, featuring a redesigned cooling layout and larger spacing between RAM and CPU/GPU cores to improve sustained performance. Regional modem configurations are expected: U.S. models may use Qualcomm‑based mmWave modems, while other markets will retain Apple’s in‑house C2 solution.

Apple has confirmed a launch date of 8 September for the iPhone 18 Pro, signalling a typical autumn release cadence.
