Samsung readies Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for July Unpacked launch

Samsung is set to unveil its next generation of foldable smartphones at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London on 22 July 2026. The lineup will include the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8, the premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the compact Galaxy Z Flip 8. Leaks reveal four colour options for each model – Cream, Graphite plus Lavender and Pistachio for the Fold 8, and Green Shadow and Violet Shadow for the Ultra – and storage tiers ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB. The Ultra variant is reported to feature a markedly higher‑resolution internal display, though exact figures are not confirmed. Regional variations in processors have been noted: the U.S. Z Flip 8 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while other markets may receive Samsung’s Exynos 2600. FCC filings show the Fold 8 models will enter retail in early August, roughly two weeks after the announcement, with pricing expected to rise due to increased component costs. Brazilian regulator Anatel has already approved the Fold 8 Ultra for sale, confirming the device will be available in Brazil shortly after the global launch.
