Apple expands iPad financing to 36‑month plans with AT&T and Verizon
Apple has introduced 36‑month installment financing for all cellular iPad models—including the standard iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro—through carrier partners AT&T and Verizon. The new option follows recent price increases across the iPad lineup and offers a lower monthly payment (about $38‑$39) compared with the previous 12‑month Apple Card plan, which cost roughly $116 per month for high‑end models.
Eligibility requires customers to activate a new line of service; the financing appears on the carrier bill and the total device cost remains unchanged over the loan term. Cancelling or switching carriers before the device is paid off obliges the user to settle the remaining balance. Apple attributes the price hikes to rising RAM and storage costs driven by demand from AI data centers, suggesting carrier financing may be used for future cellular products.
