Apple expands RAW format support to 11 new digital cameras

Apple has updated its official list of supported digital camera RAW formats across its operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. This update adds support for 11 new camera models, bringing the total number of supported formats to 562.

System-level support for RAW files allows compatible applications to process image data directly, providing greater flexibility for adjusting exposure, color, and other elements during post-processing compared to formats like JPEG.

The newly added models include several from Fujifilm (FinePix F600EXR, FinePix HS20EXR, and XF1), OM System PEN, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ45, and multiple high-end models from Phase One, such as the IQ150, IQ160, IQ260, IQ3 100MP Trichromatic, iXG 100MP, and iXH 150MP.
