Apple eyes expanded smart‑home lineup with new HomePad and AI‑enhanced devices

Apple is reportedly preparing a major expansion of its smart‑home portfolio, with plans to launch seven new products. The lineup is said to include an updated Apple TV 4K, a HomePad that combines a touchscreen display with a HomePod‑style speaker, a second‑generation HomePod mini, a third‑generation HomePod, a security camera, a video doorbell and a desktop‑robot home hub.

The releases are expected in the autumn alongside iOS 27, which will introduce a new Siri AI system (referred to as Apple Intelligence). The HomePad would serve as a central controller for the HomeKit ecosystem, allowing users to manage lights, locks, thermostats and other accessories via both visual and voice interaction, while the upgraded Siri aims to provide more contextual, conversational assistance.

Apple has not issued an official announcement, but supply‑chain leaks and analyst reports suggest the new devices could arrive shortly after the debut of the iPhone 18 Pro, signalling a continued push toward AI‑driven home experiences.
