Apple faces high iPhone repair costs and Chinese market challenges

This high cost is attributed to Apple's supply chain, as the company pays a margin to Samsung Display, and a complex internal design where the display and 3D-printed hinge form a single integrated unit.

Separately, financial analysts at Jefferies have maintained an ‘Underperform’ rating for Apple stock. The firm noted that price increases for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in China may be lower than expected when converted from US dollars, particularly due to the recent appreciation of the Chinese currency. This trend could potentially impact profit margins in the critical Chinese market.
