Apple highlights Indian apps amid new iPhone 18 Pro launch

Apple’s recent product launch highlighted the growing influence of Indian-developed applications within the global technology ecosystem. During demonstrations of Apple Intelligence and the revamped Siri, several Indian apps were showcased, including Gaana, District by Zomato, and the AI-led commerce platform Glance. Glance’s inclusion is notable for its rapid growth and its integration of an AI Personal Shopper experience designed for Apple devices.

In the Indian retail market, Lotus Electronics has announced pre-orders for the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on September 12, with official sales starting September 18. The new flagship models feature the A20 Pro chip, enhanced AI capabilities via iOS 27, and upgraded camera systems. The rollout coincides with India’s upcoming festive shopping season, which is expected to drive significant demand in the premium smartphone segment.
