Apple increases iPhone prices due to rising component costs

Apple has implemented significant price increases across its iPhone lineup, affecting both new and older models. This shift includes the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 17, iPhone 17e, iPhone 16, and the thin iPhone Air. The price hikes are primarily attributed to a surge in the cost of memory components, such as RAM and storage, driven by global demand for artificial intelligence technologies and data center expansion.

In some regions, the price increases are substantial; for instance, the iPhone 17 has seen increases of approximately 150 euros. While some retailers and carriers have not yet updated their pricing, reflecting older, lower rates, these changes are expected to reach the broader market as existing stock is depleted.

Looking ahead, Apple is reportedly planning a major design overhaul for the iPhone 20, which may feature a bezel-less display with curved glass across all edges, marking its most significant aesthetic transformation since the iPhone X in 2017. Meanwhile, current lineup changes include the removal of certain base models in specific markets and shifts in how Apple manages its product tiers.
