Apple expands Siri AI language support in iOS 27.2 beta

Apple has released the iOS 27.2 developer beta, which significantly expands Siri AI capabilities. The update introduces support for several new languages, including Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese. This new generation of Siri is designed to be more conversational and context-aware, allowing it to access personal data from messages, emails, and photos to assist with complex tasks.

However, the rollout faces regulatory hurdles in the European Union. Due to the Digital Markets Act, users in EU member states will be unable to access the new Siri AI features, a situation attributed to ongoing legal and regulatory negotiations between Apple and Brussels.

In hardware news, details regarding the iPhone 18 Pro have emerged. The device is expected to feature the A20 Pro chip, built on a 2-nanometer process, and a main camera system with a variable aperture. Technical teardowns also reveal a redesigned internal architecture intended to manage heat and accommodate a smaller Dynamic Island, though this increased complexity may pose challenges for third-party repairs.
