Apple releases security patches and iOS 27 developer betas

Apple has released a series of critical security updates, including iOS 26.6.1, iPadOS 26.6.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.6.2. These updates address numerous vulnerabilities, particularly within the WebKit engine, which could lead to memory corruption or unauthorized data access. For older devices that cannot support the latest major versions, Apple has also provided iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10 to ensure continued security.

Simultaneously, Apple is advancing the development of its next-generation operating systems. The sixth developer beta of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate has been released. These upcoming versions focus heavily on artificial intelligence, introducing Siri AI, which features enhanced personal context understanding and onscreen awareness. Other anticipated features include improved system performance, such as faster app launches and AirDrop transfers, and the ‘Apple Reference Image’ system designed to verify photo authenticity and combat deepfakes.

Internal code leaks also suggest upcoming hardware diversification, including a potential budget-friendly iPhone 18e equipped with an A20 chip.
