Apple iOS 27 expands Wallet with physical passes and membership cards
Apple's iOS 27 operating system brings a range of practical upgrades across its ecosystem. The Apple Wallet app now lets users add physical tickets, membership cards and other passes by scanning barcodes or QR codes with the iPhone camera, or by importing digital images. Saved items appear as scannable codes on both iPhone and Apple Watch, reducing the need to carry paper cards.
Other notable changes in iOS 27 include enhanced Apple Maps Flyover visuals, more flexible location sharing in Find My, and refinements to Apple Pay such as easier card switching and rewards visibility. The update also adds new features to Apple Music, Podcasts and iCloud Shared Albums, but the Wallet enhancements are highlighted as a major step toward a fully digital pocket.
