A bug in Apple’s iOS 27 developer beta caused cropped screenshots to be saved as the original full‑size images, unintentionally revealing hidden information such as addresses or messages. The issue persisted after reverting to iOS 26, and only the third iOS 27 developer beta restored the expected behavior.

Microsoft’s Windows 11 suffered a separate problem where the system file CapabilityAccessManager.db‑wal could expand far beyond its normal size, consuming up to 500 GB of disk space. The anomaly was identified by checking storage usage and confirmed with command‑line tools. Microsoft released an optional June preview update that resolves the excessive growth of the file.

Both incidents highlight unintended privacy and performance impacts in widely used operating systems and underscore the importance of timely software updates.
