Apple iOS Update Battery Issues and Samsung Galaxy Models Lose Software Support

Apple’s iOS 26.5.2 update, released in July, has triggered widespread battery‑drain and overheating problems for iPhone users, along with system crashes. Because Apple has stopped signing iOS 26.5 and 26.5.1, affected users cannot downgrade to earlier, more stable versions except via a limited restore mode for iPhone 11 or newer. Experts advise checking app battery usage and, in severe cases, performing a full reset.

Samsung has announced that four mid‑range Galaxy smartphones – the A03s, A52s, F42 5G and M32 5G – will no longer receive software or security updates. The devices, now out of the update cycle, expose users to heightened security risks, especially for sensitive applications such as mobile banking, prompting a recommendation to upgrade to newer models.
