Apple hardware leaks reveal new iPad mini, Apple TV, and HomePod mini
Leaks from Apple's internal code, identified by contributor Aaron Perris, suggest an upcoming hardware refresh for several devices, potentially arriving in October.
The iPad mini 8 is expected to feature a significant performance boost with the A20 Pro chip, similar to the iPhone 18 Pro. Key design changes include moving the front-facing camera to the landscape edge for better video calls, a possible OLED display, and a new vibration-based speaker system that may improve water resistance.
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K is rumored to maintain its current design but will receive major internal upgrades. These include an A17 Pro chip or newer, an increase in RAM to 8GB to support Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, and the integration of the N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 connectivity.
Additionally, a new HomePod mini 2 is anticipated. While it will likely retain the original spherical design, it is expected to offer new color options, including green, pink, blue, white, and black, alongside enhanced processing power to support advanced smart home features and Siri capabilities.
